The Griffin Poetry Prize shortlist is out, and we're pleased to announce that John Steffler made the list for his collection, Lookout. We first published Steffler way back in Winter 1988, just before his first collection of poetry, The Wreckage of Play, was released.

Today is the last day (for this year) that you have to read about the deadline for the Edna Staebler Personal Essay Contest. Perhaps you wonder why we have worked so hard to plug the contest lately. I’ll tell you. Last year’s Edna Staebler Personal Essay Contest had 135 entries. This year my master sheet tells me we have 91.
