By nik harron

The photograph on the cover is by nik harron, a landscape painter and photographer who currently works as the creative director for rtraction.com. For nearly twenty years his art has explored the surface of the world as a mirror to the inner landscape. “This photograph was inspired by an idea from my lover, and was taken specifically for this issue. It was photographed in the liminal space of crooked stairway, and highlights the mundane fact that the most vivid realities of our lives are hidden within impenetrable surfaces. When external appearances obscure the inner facts of our lives, it is only through a careful choice of words that we can peel away the layers to reveal something more deeply reflective of ourselves.”

More of his work can be seen at www.nikharron.com.
