Four TNQ Pieces to be Published in 2026 Best Canadian Anthology Series

The New Quarterly is delighted to announce that two poems and two essays will be featured in the 2026 Best Canadian Series Anthologies, published by Biblioasis.

The following poems were selected to be included in the 2026 “Best Canadian Poetry” anthology:

  • Susan Glickman, “What I Learned From Living Abroad” (Featured in Issue 170
  • Kevin Irie, “How to Pack for Internment” (Featured in Issue 172)

The following essays were selected to be included in the 2026 “Best Canadian Essays” anthology:

  • Chris Banks, “Black Hammers Falling” (Featured in Issue 169)
  • Ian Roy, “Have a Good Life” (Featured in Issue 171)

Congratulations to the seventy-six contributors who were selected! The 2026 anthologies will be published on November 15, 2025. You can preorder your copy from your local bookstore or through the Biblioasis website.
