Sebastian Speier is a designer, artist and illustrator with a BFA in Design and Computation Arts from Concordia University. Raised in Vancouver, Sebastian moved east to pursue an education in New Media Arts, eventually settling in Montreal where his work as a Graphic Designer and illustrator has become part of the visual fabric of the city, covering posters and album covers, restaurant signs and gallery walls. He is currently living and working as a designer in Toronto, where he continues to refine his design philosophy and his aesthetic. Speaking about the TNQ cover he says, “no animals were harmed in the making of this, and that deer is probably still roaming the countryside.” His work can be seen online at www.sspeier.com. He is currently for hire.
