We ask these questions because we want to ensure that TNQ is attracting submissions from writers who reflect the multifaceted diversity of Canada’s population. We want to recognize differences in perspective, as well as voices who have been historically underrepresented in Canadian Literature. Writers face different barriers and to different extents. We are trying to acknowledge and lessen those barriers at TNQ.
