Support Young Writers!

Dear TNQ Friends,

Big things are on the horizon for The New Quarterly: first, our summer issue (Issue #147: When the Past is Present) has its digital launch next week! Second, we are getting ready to reveal the 2018 program for the  Wild Writers Literary Festival. This annual festival celebrates writing in all its forms and genres with readings, panel discussions, writing workshops and masterclasses, and opportunities to spend some casual yet intimate time with your favourite authors.

We understand that many of our readers across Canada may not be able to attend the festival in Waterloo, Ontario, but we hope you will consider encouraging the Canadian writing community by supporting its youngest members.

A new tradition has emerged alongside the Wild Writers Literary Festival: a special appeal to our closest friends, you, to help our youngest writers attend the festival free of charge.

For every $100 you give, one young writer will:

  • Attend the Friday Night Headliner event
  • Be inspired by two writers craft classes of their choice or Erin Bow’s Young Creators Masterclass (for creative people aged 13-17)
  • Enjoy a fantastic gourmet boxed lunch of their choice
  • And keep the inspiration alive with a one year’s print subscription to The New Quarterly

This is a gift, in the truest sense, to a young writer.

Please consider what you are capable of contributing to the wildest writers in our community. All gifts are tax deductible.

Thank you for all you do for TNQ as a reader and subscriber. We are growing in incredible ways all thanks to you.
